Commonly mispronounced words in the English language

Pronouncing “ask” is weirdly uncomfortable, but saying “axe-k” is somehow easier. Lots of native and non-native English speakers get this one wrong for that very reason.

Note that in black communities in the U.S. “axe-k” can be considered a proper pronunciation.
