1.  "E" is the most commonly used letter in the English language. In fact, as many as one in eight of all the letters written in English is "E."

2.  More English words begin with the letter "S" than any other letter of the alphabet.

3.  The longest English word that can be spelled without repeating any letter is "uncopyrightable" (15 letters).
      A palavra mais longa em inglês que pode ser soletrada sem repetir uma única letra é "uncopyrightable" (que não pode ter direitos autorais) - com 15 letras.

4.  There's no word in the English language that rhymes with "month," "orange," "silver" or "purple."

5.  "Queueing" is the only word with five consecutive vowels (five vowels in a row). This is a great word to use when you play hangman!

Have you ever wondered why the computer keyboard is set out in the way it is instead of in alphabetical order?

The reason for this is on early typewriters, the keys needed to be arranged in a certain way so that the mechanical rods which held the letters did not clash too much and jam. The letters needed to be separated so that the ones which were more commonly used were not close to each other.

Você já se questionou por que as letras do teclado dos computadores são distribuídas dessa forma em vez de serem colocadas na ordem alfabética?

Isto acontece por causa das antigas máquinas de escrever, onde as teclas tinham que ser dispostas de modo que as hastes mecânicas que continham as letras não interferiam umas com as outras e ficassem enganchadas. As letras tinha que ficar separadas de modo que as que fossem  mais comumente usadas não ficassem próximas umas das outras.
